Faith & … Justice: Segregation in Culture & Life

Conversation Series returning on February 9th from 6:30 – 8:00pm via Zoom

Zoom ID: 541-870-2251

Our call is clear: God loves and champions the cause of the oppressed, and we’re meant to image God by doing the same.

Join us for a Conversation series continuing to explore themes of racial justice and the lack of it. We’ll uncover more deeply what we mean when we use the phrase “systemic racism” both in our political system and inside the church and explore what it means to work for the deep justicethat marks the coming of God’s kingdom.

“Segregation in Culture and Life”

Film Discussion on February 9th from 6:30 – 8:00pm

Zoom ID: 541-870-2251

Come alongside us for a deeper dive into the legacy of segregation in American culture and life through two films. “42” is a dramatic and troubling retelling of Jackie Robinson’s life as baseball became integrated, while “Jim Crow of the North” presents the history of racist housing practices and segregation in Minneapolis, giving us a lens to understand ongoing racial disparities in Minnesota.

We invite you to watch the films and come with your thoughts and questions for our virtual conversation on February 9th.

From our movie discussion.
